Valdie Cooper grew up in St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands where she began dancing and doing gymnastics at the age of 12. While in high school and college, Valdie was a part of the Pan –African and Caribbean Dance Ensemble. She has been married to her husband, Travis, for 19 years and has one daughter, one son, and two pets. Valdie has lived in Williamsburg, VA for 12 years and has taught dance at WISC Dance Academy and Institute for Dance to kids from toddlers to adults. Valdie also coaches competitive gymnastics and is part of the Virginia Elite Gymnastics Academy. Valdie mainly teaches Acro, but has taught various genres including ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop at iDance.
