The Institute for Dance enforces a mandatory dress code for each class division. We strongly believe that this will promote discipline and proper classroom etiquette. Any student not following the dress code will be asked to sit out and observe the class – exceptions will not be made.
Intro to Dance and Pre-Ballet Classes
Pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes
*Intro to Dance students also need black tap shoes.
Tap, Jazz, Community Performers, and Hip-Hop Classes
Tight fitting black dance attire (i.e. black leggings, tights, leotard, etc.), any iDance apparel (i.e. iDance t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc.), and black tap and/or jazz shoes.
*Intermediate-Advanced Hip-Hop dancers need converse sneakers.
Modern and Lyrical Classes
Tight fitting black dance attire (i.e. black leggings, tights, leotard, etc.) and foot undies or bare feet.
Ballet Level I – Advanced Ballet Classes
Black leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers.

Black pants or shorts, white or iDance shirt, and black shoes in the style of whatever dance type you are taking (i.e. tap, jazz or ballet).
