Rachel Southard
Rachel Southard studied dance for the past 18 years. She started performing for Jessica Morgan School of dance in Midlothian, Virginia. She then went on to Manchester High School’s dance team and two show choirs, all while continuing studio dance. After graduating high school, she furthered her dance education at Christopher Newport University where she received a B.A. in dance. During her college career, Rachel was involved for two years in CNU’s Dance Department Spring Showcase, A Delicate Balance, both dancing and choreographing. She was also a member and captain of CNU’s Silver Storm dance team. This summer, Rachel was a member of the Todd Rosenlieb Summer Dance Ensemble in Norfolk. This will be Rachel’s first year at Institute of Dance, and is looking forward to a great year!
